Integrative Medicine Approach

An Integrative Medicine Approach is one that brings together multiple modalities into treatment, so healing is holistic and focused on the Whole Person rather than on only mental health symptoms.

My treatment philosophy is centered on the idea that all aspects of a person should be taken into consideration in the healing and treatment process. This means that during your initial interview a full history is taken.  As I look at both your background and your current symptoms and circumstances, I am looking for insight about who you are on many levels. Some of the pieces I am gathering information about include your physical health, your emotional and mental wellbeing, your support systems and relationships, how much vital energy you have access to, and how you are doing spiritually if faith or a connection to The Divine is an aspect of who you are.  The intention for your healing experience is always to help you heal on all levels: Body, Mind and Soul.

Additionally, Integrative Medicine is an approach that combines Evidenced-Based Treatments (those proven effective based on scientific research) in combination with alternative and complementary medicines that have also been proven to have a positive effect on symptom relief and overall health. The idea is to pull together multiple tools to help support each part of you that needs support at this time.

Holistic Healing Sessions

Alternative Healing Sessions are offered as a supplemental service to traditional therapy and address the following four levels of healing:

The Physical Body

~Opening and relaxing physical contractions in the body through myo-facial release and energy work and somatic therapy in order to release physical holding in the body.

The Emotional Body

~Facilitating the release of tension and holding in the physical body by identifying what is stored there, healing the underlying issues and facilitating it's release. This is done through somatic emotional release work or somatic therapy

The Mental Body

~Accessing the subconscious mind in order to clarify and make conscious what is being held.

~Replacing negative thought patterns, judgments and beliefs with love, compassion and inner truth and higher understanding.

The Energy Body

~Working with your body’s Chakra System to open, clear, balance and activate each major energy center

~Relaxing contractions in specific areas of the body to facilitate greater energy flow through them

~Releasing emotional blocks from your energy system

Sessions utilize  the following Therapies:

Somatic Therapy, Crainio-Sacral Therapy, Somato-Emotional Release Therapy, Pranic Healing & other energy balancing techniques, Acupressure, and advanced visualization techniques designed to  facilitate the healing process.
